Dr. Shannon Rooney
Dr. Shannon Rooney is proud to be the newest member of the Sakowitz Smiles Orthodontics family! Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Rooney brings a wealth of expertise and a warm, compassionate approach to patient care.
After earning her dental degree at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Rooney completed a General Practice Residency at Monmouth Medical Center. In 2019, she relocated to Florida to begin her career, where she discovered her true passion—creating beautiful smiles through orthodontics. This passion led her to Jacksonville University, where she completed a one-year fellowship in Orthodontic Clinical Research, followed by a two-year residency, earning a Master of Science in Dentistry and a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Orthodontics.
At Sakowitz Smiles, Dr. Rooney is committed to making each patient’s orthodontic journey as comfortable and rewarding as possible. She is honored to work alongside Dr. Sakowitz and the incredible team, dedicated to helping every patient achieve the confident, radiant smile they deserve.
Outside the office, Dr. Rooney enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two amazing daughters, and their two sweet dogs. They inspire her daily and fuel her passion for transforming smiles and lives.
